Download Xcelcor Guardian

Simple protection from remote-access scams, for Windows 11. Once it’s set up, new connections from common remote tools wait until someone you trust says yes.

Download Guardian 1.0.20 for Windows

Version 1.0.20 · · 76.3 MB · Windows installer (.msi)

Windows names the publisher as Pragmio LLC, the company behind Xcelcor Guardian. If it shows any other name, or no name, stop and write to support@xcelcor.com.

  • Chrome: "Suspicious download blocked". Choose to keep the file.
  • Edge: "isn’t commonly downloaded". Click the three dots, then Keep.
  • Windows: "Windows protected your PC". Click More info, check it says Pragmio LLC, then Run anyway.

Step by step, and why you see these

You may see a warning while Guardian is new

The installer is code-signed by Pragmio LLC, the company behind Xcelcor, through Microsoft’s signing service. Windows SmartScreen, Chrome and Edge also look at how many people have downloaded a program before. Guardian is new, so that reputation is still building and you may see a warning. Warnings usually become less common as more people install it, but we can’t promise you won’t see one.

If a stranger on the phone asked you to install this, hang up. That is how remote access scams start. If it’s your own family helping you, carry on.

Before you continue, check two things:

  1. You downloaded it from xcelcor.com and nowhere else.
  2. The file name starts with XcelcorGuardian, has the version number shown on the button above, and ends in .msi.

Chrome says "Suspicious download blocked"

Click the download icon at the top right of Chrome, then choose the option to download the file anyway (it may say "Download suspicious file" or "Keep"). You can also open Downloads from Chrome's menu and do the same there.

Edge says the file "isn’t commonly downloaded"

In the downloads list, click the three dots next to the file and choose "Keep". If Edge asks again, click "Show more", then "Keep anyway".

Windows says "Windows protected your PC"

Click "More info". The publisher must say Pragmio LLC. If it does, click "Run anyway". If it says "Unknown publisher" or any other name, delete the file and email support@xcelcor.com.

Guardian runs on Windows 11. You can also compare the file's SHA-256 with the one listed under Releases below.

  • Windows 11, 64-bit
  • Works with your antivirus
  • Signed by Pragmio LLC

Every installer is signed by Pragmio LLC. To check that a download arrived unchanged, open PowerShell in the folder it’s in, type Get-FileHash and the file’s name, and compare the hash with the SHA-256 listed for that version.
